Anfisa Chekhova

- Anfisa, please tell us what you are working on at the moment? 
-  I am currently engaged in a new television project on channel Yu called the XL model. It is somewhat like America’s Next Top Model, but the difference is that all the models are plus size. Girls who are selected for the contest do not fit into the standard model parameters. They are all full-figured, and now, finally, society understands that all women are different and thus that models must be of different sizes. The winner of the competition gets a contract with an international modeling agency. 
- Your advantageous silhouette makes you the ideal model for intimates, but what role does lingerie play in your own wardrobe? 
- I first fell in love with underwear at the age of 20. Around that time, many good lingerie stores were appearing in Moscow and I quickly became a regular customer. Now I am a big fan of underwear: I have a lot of it and yet keep on buying more. I’ll tell you just how serious my commitment to underwear is. Back in the early 2000s, I left a job and was paid three salaries at once. I went and spent all this money on underwear, and then I didn’t know what to live on. 
- Your first branded underwear set was ... 
- I bought it in the store Wild Orchid. I don’t remember the brand, but it was turquoise and with a knitted pattern. I wore it for special occasions and had it for 10 years.  
- What are your favorite lingerie brands? 
Lise Charmel, Maison Lejaby, Chantelle, Chantal Thomass. 
- What do you value more in your underwear: design or comfort? 
I appreciate both. I love smooth, seamless lingerie. The fact is that I often choose tight-fitting, which makes lace unsuitable. I do also have lace sets, but they are not for everyday use. I am also of the belief that the most pleasant underwear for the body is cotton. 
- Do you have a preferred bra shape? 
- As a full-busted woman, I almost always choose wired bras. When it comes to choosing a hard or soft cup, it usually depends on the occasion and the outfit.  
- Thongs or panties? 
- Although thongs are not very good for women's health, with some outfits, you need to wear a thong in order not to ruin the outfit. Of course, I have panties in my wardrobe, mostly high-waisted, which is my favorite style.  
- Tights or stockings? 
- Neither one nor the other. Of course, you have to use tights when the cold comes, but I will avoid them for as long as I can. 
- When and why did you buy your most recent lingerie set? 
- I very often go to lingerie stores and my purchases are not limited to one set. It’s usually more like three. They already love me and are always ready and waiting in the Estelle Adony store, where I am a regular customer. It happens for no particular reason, I just walk past, go in and end up buying something.
