Atelier Intimo (China)

Owner and founder of the boutique6 located in Shanghai, Christy Liang, shared that the 2020 world events served as inspiration for the space’s decor, the renewal of the plants after the fires in Australia, or the blooming cherry blossoms following the outbreak of the pandemic in Wuhan. Throughout the store, Liang wanted to show the cohabitation between humans and nature – with nature being the more powerful of the two. Along a wall, the “15+1” art project is displayed: 16, 3D models of bodies are exhibited. These 3D models were made using scanned images of the bodies of their first employee and those of 15 VIP customers. Each unique, each equally as beautiful as the last, not only are the real bodies stunning, they also serve to represent the relationship between Atelier Intimo and their customers.
