Ghibli Lingerie (Italy)

With a passion for lingerie, in September 2018 Laura Valli and her mother Uccia Bonacina opened their intimate apparel and swimwear shop in the province of Lecco. The challenge? To offer local customers a selection of brands that are hard to find locally, together with personalized service in a chic and intimate environment. For the concept, the owners were inspired by the imagery they both love: the charm of the desert, with its aura of mystery and its sand dunes, beaten by the warm south wind that gives the boutique its evocative name. The logo features a Saharan snake, presented with two heads, symbolizing the bond between mother and daughter. 

♥ We love the warm and elegant setting, with three rooms partitioned by cream-colored fixtures, 1900s-style columns and staggered chandeliers that together contrast surprisingly with the simple furnishings and modern materials. The vestige of a historic building, the three French windows facing the park serve as a showcase, offering glimpses of the displays inside: lingerie and nightwear at the entrance, loungewear and basic intimate apparel in the central room, ready-to-wear, men’s intimate apparel and the sexiest lingerie in the most secluded room. Here, Laura and Uccia welcome an informed and self-confident female clientele, seeking an original and engaging experience. Aperitifs and themed events liven up the evenings in the store, with extended openings and new ideas for creative and quality shopping. Welcome to Ghibli!
