Lacelier is a portmanteau, coined from the French words lacer (to lace), and atelier (a workshop or studio). These words respectively bring to mind a close connection to the female body, and a distinctive, exquisitely crafted quality and sense of entrepreneurship. The choice of this simple yet recognisable French name affirms the company's French roots and ongoing connection to the country, all the while supporting the group's international strategy.
Lacelier is an international group under whose name the lingerie and beachwear brands Lou (pictured), Bestform, Variance, Gemma, Belcor and Cherry Beach are united. Distributed across Europe and internationally, the group has a turnover of around €78 million and employs 250 people in France and abroad.
Spurred on by a major investment phase, the new management team, presided over by Jean-Jacques Sebbag (pictured),
has embarked on a vast restructuring, which will take into account
creativity, distribution, marketing, and digital communication.
